 Keothavong had a walkover in the second round |
British number three Anne Keothavong was beaten in straight sets by France's Alize Cornet in the third round of the WTA tournament in Morocco. Cornet, who has been ranked as high as 11 in the world but is currently at 84, opened up a 4-1 lead over her 26-year-old opponent in the first set. Keothavong won four games in a row to serve for the set but could not take her chance and Cornet capitalised. The Londoner had chances in the second set too but fell to a 7-5 6-2 defeat. Keothavong had reached the third round of the Grand Prix De Sar La Princesse Lalla Meryem after opponent Carla Suarez Navarro retired injured.
