British number one Anne Keothavong has dropped out of the world's top 50. Keothavong reached 48 in the rankings in February but first-round exits in Indian Wells and Miami have seen her drop down to 52. In her last tournament, in Tourhout, Belgium earlier in April, she retired from her first-round match suffering from a virus. Maria Sharapova, who was world number one last August, has slipped to 53 after a shoulder injury.
