Paul Hutchins will stand down as the Lawn Tennis Association's head of men's tennis at the end of 2008. His role will be taken on by current LTA employees Steven Martens, Paul Annacone and Leon Smith. Hutchins, a former Davis Cup captain, will continue to work on other projects for the LTA. "I have thoroughly enjoyed the last two years and am delighted to have helped shape British tennis at such an exciting time," said Hutchins. "I feel like I have achieved what I was asked to do and am confident that I am leaving men's tennis in good order."  | 606: DEBATE | Roger Draper, LTA chief executive, said: "Paul has been a tremendous asset to British tennis throughout his career and over the last two years has developed strong foundations for men's tennis. "Paul came on board in 2006 to help a new team understand the intricacies of our sport and having achieved this he will turn his attention to helping in other areas. "Paul has put in place an excellent team of coaches and under the guidance of Steven Martens I am confident that we will be able to continue the work that Paul has begun and make real strides forward in this area."
