Hundreds of people have signed an online petition to keep the women's pre-Wimbledon warm-up tournament at Eastbourne's Devonshire Park. There have been rumours the event will be moved to London after 2008.
A Lawn Tennis Association statement for BBC Southern Counties Radio said: "We are looking forward to putting on an excellent tournament in 2008.
"We will be reviewing the location at the end of this year, but have no firm plans to move it."
The event has been part of the women's tour since 1975 and is a traditional part of the build-up for Wimbledon.

An Eastbourne Borough Council statement read: "A number of meetings have taken place. The council are awaiting further discussions and announcements from the LTA."
The Times tennis correspondent Neil Harman told BBC Southern Counties: "I have just got the feeling in the past few years the LTA have not generated the enthusiasm for it there was in the past. It has lost a little of its magic.
"People think Eastbourne the week before Wimbledon. To move it round for the sake of a few bob doesn't wash with me."
