Davydenko has been in action at the Masters Cup in Shanghai

The Russian was handed a $2000 (�976) penalty by the ATP after a three-set defeat to Croatia's Marin Cilic at the St Petersburg Open in September.

But the fine has been rescinded after the match was reviewed on video.

Davydenko is also under investigation by the ATP over a match that featured irregular betting patterns.

The world number four, currently participating at the season finale Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai, has been at the centre of a series of recent controversies.

He had been initially fined for "lack of best effort" for his 1-6 7-5 6-1 loss to Cilic, a defeat he said was because his "legs were dead".

At the Paris Masters on 1 November, Davydenko was told by umpire Cedric Mourier to "try your best" after the official questioned why he was serving so many double faults against Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis.

And online betting exchange Betfair voided bets on a match in Poland in August between Davydenko and the 87th-ranked Argentine Martin Vassallo Arguello.

Davydenko retired injured in the third set, and it has since emerged that nine people based in Russia had bet US$1.5m (�726,302) on him losing.
