Daniela Hantuchova booked her place in the season-ending WTA Championships with victory in the Linz Open final. The Slovak, seeded second, beat Swiss opponent Patty Schnyder 6-4 6-2 to claim her second WTA Tour title of the season and third in her career.
Hantuchova was 4-2 down in the first set before winning five games to take control of the match in Austria.
Hantuchova got a warning for slow play in the second set before finishing off the match on her second match point.
The WTA Championships, for the top eight players in the world, takes place in Madrid from 6-11 November.
Justine Henin, Jelena Jankovic, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Ana Ivanovic, Serena Williams and Anna Chakvetadze have already qualified for the tournament in Spain.
