Baltacha back in GB Fed Cup squad
Great Britain's Anne Keothavong
Keothavong, the British number one, is ranked 155 in the world
Fit-again Elena Baltacha has been included in Great Britain's Fed Cup squad for their Europe/Africa Zone Group I matches in Bulgaria next month.

The Ukrainian-born Scot, 23, is on the comeback trail after undergoing surgery on a prolapsed disc last year.

She joins British number one Anne Keothavong, the emerging Naomi Cavaday, and doubles specialist Claire Curran.

"Elena is fit and healthy and returning to form at just the right time," said Fed Cup captain Nigel Sears.

606: DEBATE

"Naomi Cavaday will relish the opportunity to play at this level and together with Anne I feel I have got three singles players I can rely on to give it their best shot.

"Claire will further strengthen the team as a doubles specialist."

Fifteen nations, divided into round robin groups, will compete in the Europe/Africa Zone Group I matches in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, from 18-21 April.

The others will be: Belarus, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ukraine.

Two nations will then progress to the World Group II Play-offs in July.
