Murray (left) and Henman are into the third round |
There were contrasting fortunes for the Murray brothers in the second round of the doubles at Indian Wells. Andy Murray teamed up with fellow Briton Tim Henman to see off South Africa's Chris Haggard and Dutchman Rogier Wassen 6-3 6-0 in 51 minutes.
The could face top seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi in the last eight.
But doubles specialist Jamie Murray and American Eric Butorac lost 6-2 5-7 10-5 to seventh seeds Julian Knowle and Jurgen Melzer of Austria.
The British performance in Indian Wells will, nonetheless, give heart to Great Britain Davis Cup captain John Lloyd ahead of next month's tie against the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, Andy Murray resumes his singles campaign against world number four Nikolay Davydenko on Wednesday.
