Nadal has not won a tournament since last year's French Open |
World number two Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from next week's Marseille Open with a thigh injury. The Spaniard pulled out of his country's David Cup first-round tie against Switzerland on Friday after he strained a thigh muscle in training.
Nadal has struggled with injuries this season, having complained of a sore leg after losing to Fernando Gonzalez at last month's Australian Open.
Russia's Nikolay Davydenko takes over as the top seed in Marseille.
