British number one Katie O'Brien is closing on the world's top 100 after reaching the second round at Wimbledon. The 21-year-old from Hull climbed 33 places to 121st in the new rankings after beating Sandra Kloesel at SW19.
Sheffield teenager Anna Fitzpatrick rose 88 places to her highest world ranking of 401 after winning a round in qualifying for Wimbledon.
The 18-year-old went on to reach the semi-finals of the girls' singles - her last event as a junior.
Fitzpatrick was understandably disappointed not to reach the girls' singles final after coming through a play-off to earn a wildcard into Wimbledon qualifying.
In her BBC Sport Road to Wimbledon column, she said: "When I got to the changing rooms after losing in the semi-final it really hit me. I was gutted - really, really upset. I realised then just how much I had wanted to win the tournament.
"But I've only just turned 18 and this is the starting point for me. I want to build on it.
"Seniors is much harder than juniors but I'm ready to do whatever I have to do to make my mark."
In the men's rankings, British number one Andy Murray has slipped five places to 13th after missing Wimbledon with a wrist injury.
Tim Henman rose four places to 70th despite losing in the second round while Murray's older brother Jamie hit a new career-high doubles ranking of 29.
The 21-year-old reached the third round of the men's doubles with Eric Butorac and won the mixed title with Jelena Jankovic.
