Murray has missed two Grand Slams |
British number one Andy Murray's return from a wrist injury may keep him out until the end of the month. The 20-year-old Scot, who suffered the injury during the Hamburg Masters in May, was hoping to play a tournament in Los Angeles starting on 16 July.
But it now looks unlikely that he will return before the Legg Mason Classic in Washington on 29 July.
"He's got to have a little bit more rest and it's going to take a little bit longer," said his mother, Judy.
"But he's definitely on the mend. He is going to stick around in London for another week or so and see the specialist again next Wednesday, I think, before he heads out to the States.
"It's really important for him that he has the physio and specialist around him until we're absolutely sure that he is over it."
The injury has already forced Murray to miss two Grand Slam events - the French Open and Wimbledon.
