Clijsters has been plagued by injury in recent seasons |
Former world number one Kim Clijsters has re-iterated her intention to retire from professional tennis next season. The 23-year-old has declined an invitation from the Belgian Olympic Committee to represent her country at the 2008 Olympics.
The injury-prone Clijsters announced last year that 2007 would be her last season on the women's tour and says she has not changed her mind.
"When I take a decision, I stick to it," she said on her website.
