Henman represented Great Britain for 10 years in the Davis Cup |
British number two Tim Henman is considering a return to Great Britain's Davis Cup team next year. The 32-year-old retired from Davis Cup tennis in September 2004 but met GB captain John Lloyd and new coach Peter Lundgren in Basle on Tuesday.
"I needed a break from Davis Cup and that was the reality," Henman told his website. "Having two years out, I really enjoyed having that break.
"Now I'm definitely starting to view it as something that has more appeal."

Henman is playing at the Swiss Indoors in Basle this week and opens his campaign against Belgium's Christophe Rochus at 1445 BST on Wednesday.
And he admitted that the form of British number one Andy Murray has been a factor in changing his mind over the Davis Cup.
"I've got a much more open mind," said Henman. "I always felt that if I was playing, then it was all or nothing.
"But I can sit here and say that maybe if I were to get involved then maybe I don't need to try to do it all.
"Certainly with the way Andy has been playing, that's a big factor."
Speaking earlier in the week, Lundgren said: "I want Great Britain to get back in the World Group and if Tim is back, the chances are higher.
"Tim has never said never so there is obviously a chance and that is why we have come here to speak to him."
Lloyd tried to tempt Henman to return for last month's Euro-African Zone tie in Ukraine.
Great Britain's next match will be at home to the Netherlands in April.
