"I wouldn't mind playing five sets myself."
Federer longs for the days when he was taken the distance.
"I'm just trying to gain any type of energy from any source that's around - umpires, ball kids, fans, family. Finding excuses to get myself over that hump. There's so many humps out there on just a pointly basis."
The inimitable Vince Spadea, whose catchphrase is "Spadea ain't afraid of ya". He plays Federer next.
"There's not a lot you can say at that stage, apart from laugh."
Henman on Federer's successful through-the-legs shot - which resulted in him winning the point.
"Well I've beaten him too."
A confident Andy Murray after he was asked if this was the first Grand Slam he had come in to feeling the could beat everyone except Federer.
"I think I'm probably more popular this year partly because of Brad. He's pretty big over here."
Murray puts his new-found popularity in New York down to coach Brad Gilbert.
"I just wanted to show Andre how much he means to the sport of tennis. We want him to know that we wish him the best in tennis and in life."
