Henman has now lost four of his five matches against Tursunov

Andy Murray earlier beat Mardy Fish 6-2 6-4 to continue his fine start under new coach Brad Gilbert.

The eighth-seeded Scot will meet Tursunov on Saturday after the Russian hammered Henman 6-3 6-2.

"On a night like tonight, sometimes I do wonder," said Henman, speaking about his will to win.

"The way he played, I found myself feeling like a spectator. But I feel good about my own game at this point in the summer."

Henman, who has now been defeated by Tursunov four times since Wimbledon 2005, failed to muster a break point during the clash.

Murray's win would have been even more straightforward had he not faltered when serving for the match at 6-2 5-2.

The 19-year-old squandered a match point and was then broken for the first time in the match but made no mistake in his next service game.

Murray said: "Brad and I spoke at the end of the match. He was disappointed, thought I got tentative at the end. I thought I was playing good tennis.

"I don't think I am a better tennis player yet but technically I'm getting there. My game isn't that much better yet but I'm gaining confidence.

"I didn't play too well on hard courts at the start of the year. I got five good days of practice in and was maybe rusty in my first game but I've been getting better.

"Today was my best. I think the second set was the best six games I've played."
