Jamie Murray lost in straight sets in the doubles final of the ATP Countrywide Classic in California. The 20-year-old, partnered by American Eric Butorac, has been touted as a possible Davis Cup doubles partner for his younger brother, Andy.
They beat fourth seeds Dominik Hrbaty and Jeff Coetzee in an epic semi-final, but lost the final 6-2 6-4 to the world number one Bryan twins Bob and Mike.
Murray has reached the last four in two recent Challenger doubles events.
