Hewitt was fired up when Australia played Argentina last year |
Lleyton Hewitt has yet to commit to Australia's Davis Cup tie in Argentina next month amid security fears. Hewitt is unpopular in Argentina after several run-ins with their players and is concerned about safety at the tie.
Tennis Australia chief executive Steve Wood said "security specialists" will accompany the team in Buenos Aires.
"Security's of paramount importance for all of our players so we've got a plan in place and we're working through that with Lleyton now," said Wood.
"I think he's looking over that plan and just considering what he's doing."
Speaking earlier in the week, Hewitt voiced his concerns at what could await him in Argentina.

"The situation has got steadily worse for visiting teams and it takes only one whacker over there to turn things on its head," said Hewitt.
"I've got a family to think about and there are issues around security."
The Davis Cup semi-final takes place in Buenos Aires from 22-24 September.
Hewitt has had on-court altercations with Juan Ignacio Chela, David Nalbandian and Guillermo Coria, the most recent of which came in a Davis Cup clash in Sydney last year.
"I've spoken to (Swedish captain) Mats Wilander about playing in Argentina and he says it's a bit of a circus," Hewitt told Australia's Herald Sun newspaper.
"With what's happened between me and (David) Nalbandian, (Guillermo) Coria and (Juan-Ignacio) Chela, that makes it different again.
"Those guys have been stirring things up. Nalbandian's been talking it up about how much he wants me down there, so there are concerns over the safety issues.
"My management through Rob (Aivatoglou) has been pro-active in dealings with Tennis Australia, but the message coming back is that security arrangements are not what they could be."
