Britain has two players in the last 16 of the girls' singles at Wimbledon after second-round victories for Naomi Cavaday and Julia Bone. Cavaday, a 17-year-old left-hander from Chislehurst in Kent, defeated Russian Ksenia Lykina 6-4 2-6 6-1 and will next meet Slovakia's Kristina Kucova.
Bone, 18, from High Wycombe, eased past Italy's Corinna Dentoni 6-4 6-2.
Lincoln-born Daniel Cox and Ed Corrie of High Wycombe are both out of the boys event.
Cox, 15, who is now based in Marbella, took the first set against Estonian's Jaak Poldma but went down 5-7 6-4 6-3.
Corrie, 18, was also a set up against Peter Lucassen of Holland but lost 6-7 6-4 6-4.
