Serbian teenager Novak Djokovic has played down speculation he might play for Great Britain in the future. The 19-year-old's family is reported to have held discussions with the LTA during Serbia & Montenegro's Davis Cup win over Britain in April.
But the world number 63 said: "It's just rumours. The people were very kind to us after the Davis Cup.
"We spoke to them. Nothing serious really. We didn't have any serious conversation about a passport."
Djokovic, one of the rising stars of the ATP Tour, trains in Monte Carlo and is a good friend of British teenager Andy Murray.
His younger brothers Marko and Djordje are also promising tennis players.
Serbia & Montenegro's tennis federation is poorly funded compared with its British counterpart and the financial situation is set to worsen now the country plans to split into two entities.
