Fish proves too strong for Murray
Andy Murray
Britain's Andy Murray bowed out of the RCA Championships after losing in three sets to American 16th seed Mardy Fish in the second round in Indianapolis.

The 18-year-old wildcard led 3-1 in the final set but went down 6-4 4-6 6-4, with the vital break against him coming in the 10th game of the third set.

After losing the first set, Murray broke Fish in the opening game of the second set and held his nerve to level.

Murray broke Fish early in the third, but lost his advantage and the match.

The Scot believed he did not play at his best against the American.

"I thought I could have played better. It was very hot, but I think I dealt with that pretty well. I'm disappointed I lost," said Murray.

However, Fish was relieved to have overcome Murray, for who he held high praise for.

"He's a very good counter puncher and he passes well. He's a good, talented player and I am happy with the win," said Fish.
