Newport rain makes Rusedski wait
Greg Rusedski
Britain's Greg Rusedski will have to play two matches on Saturday if he is to reach the Newport final after rain forced Friday's play to be abandoned.

Rusedski, hoping to defend the title he won last year, was unable to start his quarter-final against Anthony Dupuis.

In the day's first quarter-final, South African Wesley Moodie is leading Slovakian Michal Mertinak 5-4.

Americans Vincent Spadea and Paul Goldstein advanced to the semi-finals on Thursday.

Second seed Spadea beat Serbian Dusan Vemic 6-3 6-4 while Goldstein edged German Alexander Waske.
