Federer back in groove in Qatar
Roger Federer in action in Doha
World number one Roger Federer feels he is getting back to his best form after beating Marcos Baghdatis 6-4 6-3 in the Qatar Open quarter-finals.

The Swiss top seed broke a stubborn Baghdatis in the opener before the players swapped breaks in the second.

Federer was 4-3 up when the Cypriot double faulted and hit long to hand the world number one the decisive break.

"I am now getting a feel for the big games," said Federer, who ended the 2005 season with an ankle injury.

Federer will now meet German Tommy Haas for a place in the final after he beat Russian Mikhail Youzhny 6-4 6-3.

"Facing a player of Roger's calibre gives you an idea where your game is," said Haas, who is also on the comeback trail from injury.
