After losing the first 25 points on his opponent's serve, Rusedski finally wins one - and then goes on to earn a break point. But he cannot convert it and Roddick goes on to hold. The British number two is showing signs of frustration, yelling angrily as another shot goes wide.

So far Roddick has looked much more at ease than Rusedski during the rallies and the American carves out a double break-point, claiming the first break of the match with a powerful forehand down the line, which Rusedski can only push into the net.

Roddick bangs down his fourth ace as he once again wins his serve without conceding a point.

Rusedski serves aces four and five on his way to claiming the game to love.

Rusedski goes 15-30 down but rescues himself, clinching the game with a forehand approach down the line that Roddick cannot return.
