Defending champion Jim Courier will face Paul Haarhuis in the final of the Masters Tennis after both players won their semi-finals in straight sets. American Courier produced an accomplished display to see off crowd favourite John McEnroe 6-4 6-4.
McEnroe, who has been suffering with flu, failed to produce the form that beat Thomas Muster in the last eight.
Haarhuis beat Sergi Bruguera, Spain's former French Open champion, 6-1 6-4 in only 56 minutes in the second semi.
One of the crucial points of the match between Courier and McEnroe was decided by Hawk-Eye.
McEnroe hit a serve down the middle during the third game of the first set and headed for the change of ends.
But Courier exercised the right to challenge the call using Hawk-Eye - which is being used in an international tournament for the first time - and the serve was ruled out.
McEnroe, 47, took the decision in his stride and afterwards vowed to be back at the Royal Albert Hall next year for at least one more shot at the title.
Haarhuis, 39, raced through the first set against Brugera in 21 minutes, and despite a fight-back which included the tournament's fastest serve of the week at 132mph, Bruguera failed to turn the tide.
