Roddick beat Grosjean in the finals of both his Queen's triumphs

Roddick will be bidding for his third consecutive title at the tournament, which takes place from 6-12 June.

If he triumphs, he will join Hewitt, John McEnroe and Boris Becker as the only three-time winners of the title.

The event will also feature a one-off match between Becker and McEnroe - their first-ever meeting on grass.

The exhibition match is to mark the 20th anniversary of Becker's first win at Queen's, which was followed weeks later by his first Wimbledon triumph at the age of 17.

Among those competing in the main draw will be 18-year-old French player Richard Gasquet, who upset Roger Federer at the Monte Carlo Masters a fortnight ago.

Sebastien Grosjean, who has been runner-up to Roddick for the past two years, will also take part in the tournament.

Also appearing is Croat Mario Ancic, who beat Henman in the Wimbledon quarter-finals last year and who has also beaten Federer on the grass at SW19.

For the first time since the event began in 1979, all the players directly accepted into the main draw will come from the world's top 100.
