Nadal set to make Queen's debut
Rafael Nadal
Nadal has played just six Tour matches on grass
French Open champion Rafael Nadal will make his debut appearance on the grass of Queen's Club next year.

The 19-year-old Spaniard, ranked second in the world, has committed to the Stella Artois Championships for the next two years.

Nadal, who has a 3-3 career record on grass, chose to prepare for this year's Wimbledon at Halle in Germany, where he lost to Alexander Waske.

He then lost to Gilles Muller in the second round at Wimbledon.

Former French Open champion and Wimbledon finalist, Jim Courier, said: "His game may not be obviously adaptable to grass, but his attitude is.

"He is firmly committed to it, and as the grass courts have firmed up it's given the groundstrokers an ability to compete."
