Andy Murray admits he has realised a dream by booking a date with world number one Roger Federer for his first ATP Tour final at the Thailand Open. The 18-year-old Scot came from a set down to beat home favourite Paradorn Srichaphan in Saturday's semi-finals.
"To play against the best in the world, and possibly the best ever, at only 18...it is a dream come true," he said.
"I just have to concentrate on making a good start, getting a few games under my belt and taking it from there."
Murray said it was "pretty tough" playing former world number nine Paradorn Srichaphan in front of his home fans in Bangkok.
"Obviously the crowd wanted him to win," Murray added. "I just had to block it out but I really enjoyed it in the end.
"I didn't start off so well. I was serving rather badly and gave him some chances in the first set and a half.
"But I changed the way I was playing, started serve-and-volleying a bit and I think that threw him off.
"Towards the end of the second set I started to hit my groundstrokes a bit better and it paid off in the third."
