 | How Hawk-Eye will be in use on the BBC Sport website

Many of you will be aware that Hawk-Eye has been part of the BBC's tennis coverage for the past two years.
And this year we're bringing it to the BBC Sport website for our coverage of Wimbledon.
We'll be using the Hawk-Eye technology to enhance some of our key reports from SW19.
Our team will help explain aspects of a player's match strategy through detailed graphics and statistics.
And we'll be able to show you animated video clips in the Sport Player of key rallies and explanations of service angles, return hit-points and winners.
How does it work?
A selection of high-speed cameras high up in the roofs of Centre Court and Court One track the ball as it flies through the air.
A computer captures the image from each camera and can then track the balls speed and trajectory in a virtual 3D world.
By analysing each shot in a similar way - every point in each match on the two courts - a pattern can be built up to analyse key aspects of the match.
