Grosjean now takes on Roger Federer |
Sebastian Grosjean recovered from a dreadful start against the unseeded Florian Mayer to book his place in the semi-finals.
Grosjean was broken in the opening game but came back strongly to see off the Wimbledon debutant in straight sets.
The tenth seed triumphed 7-5 6-4 6-2 and now plays Roger Federer for a place in the final.
It is Grosjean's second successive Wimbledon semi-final.
He lost out to Mark Philippoussis last year and is determined to go one better this time.
"I was really close in 2003 and I am really happy to reach the semi-finals for the second year," Grosjean said.
"It is great to be in the last four again and I really want to play a few more in the Grand Slams.
"I am up against Roger in the next round but I am going to enjoy myself on the court and we will see what happens in the game."
