Alex Bogdanovic was forced to withdraw from the Sarajevo Challenger last weekend with food poisoning. It was a harsh blow for the 19-year-old after he had produced one of the best performances of his career in beating Marc Rosset 7-6 6-4 in round one.
A 6-3 6-3 win over Czech Michel Tabara followed, before ill health meant he had to pull out of the quarter-final against Dennis van Scheppingen.
The improved form is a boost after Bogdanovic's poor start to the year.
His 2004 record to date stands at three wins and six losses.
