Baltacha, the British No.2, will be seeded in the $25,000 woman's event, which starts on Wednesday at Scotstoun Leisure Centre. Mackin is expected to be the top seed in the men's $15,000 event, which starts on Tuesday. Others taking part include the current national champions, Lee Childs of Somerset and Hannah Collin of Surrey, plus British No.1 Julie Pullin of Sussex.
Meanwhile, British number 14 Miles Maclagan has been called into the British Davis Cup squad as a replacement for the injured Greg Rusedski. The Scot had been in semi-retirement and is unlikely to play in match against Thailand, which starts on Friday. |
