Former champion Huber was beaten in straight sets
Third seed Anke Huber followed the top two seeds out of the Uniqa Grand Prix in Vienna when she lost her quarter-final battle with Patty Schnyder.

Top seed Elena Dementieva of Russia and second seed Jelena Dokic were knocked out in the second round on Thursday.

Austrian fourth seed Barbara Schett was also beaten 7-6 4-6 6-3 by fifth-seed Paola Suarez of Argentina.

Huber, the 1994 champion, was beaten 6-3 6-4 by Swiss eighth seed Schnyder.

She now faces a semi-final showdown with Croatia's Jelena Kostanic, conqueror of Dokic.
