After his man-of-the-match performance in the first Test against Australia, few would contest that Paul Sculthorpe is in the form of his life.

But Sculthorpe and his team-mates were bought down to earth in the second Test, as the Kangaroos romped to victory.

As Great Britain prepare for the deciding match, the man voted Super League's Man of Steel answered your e-mails.

After last week's performance, surely the right choice would have been to have Sinfield back at hooker and Horne at seven?

I don't know the reasons behind the team that gets picked. Kevin had a great game in the first Test but so did Mike Balshaw, who helped to stiffen us up in defence. Maybe that's why two forwards were to pick to strengthen the defence.

    Neil Birchall, England

Everybody rates Australia as the world's greatest side, but after playing two matches against them, what is your opinion? Are they the best team you have ever played?

They have definitely earned the title of the world's best team. It's their national sport in Australia and that's what the kids are brought up to play; whereas over here it's football. They definitely deserve the title.

    David Shallcross, UK

How has the preparation for this Ashes series differed from previous international series that you have been involved in?

In previous test series due to club commitments, etc, we have only been together two weeks before the games, but this year we have really prepared well. We had the one game in France and had a run out against the under-21's and then went to La Manga for a week.

Staying in camp for a week and getting a pre-match preparation has really helped. The team's confident and we know we can win.

    Roy Jewitt, Australia

I certainly think Great Britain have got the ability but is it more a mental thing?

I don't think it is this year. I think it definitely has been a problem in the past and we have beaten before we've even gone out on the field. I think everyone has respected the Australians too much. They are a great team but they are only human and as we've shown they can be beaten.

    Sarah Bibby, UK

Paul, in the past two years you've played for the best team in the Super League and helped Saints to win the Super League trophy twice, the Silk Cut Challenge Cup and the World Cup Championship Cup, as well as the Man of Steel and the Player's Player of the Year award.

You've also been under tremendous pressure taking over the goal-kicking from Sean Long and have excelled. Not to mention helping GB to win the first Test. Can things get any better for you?

Yeah, they can get better on Saturday. I think that would cap everything. It's the biggest thing you can do, as a player, to win the Ashes. The last time it was done was in 1970 and if you think of all the great players that have come and gone since then and none of them have done it.
