Ayr United took part in their first major cup final on Sunday but Rangers proved too strong
Ayr United fail to overcome the might of Rangers as the Glasgows giants win the CIS Cup final 4-0.

Will the victory spark a winning run for Rangers?

Gordon Dalziel's side defied the critics to reach the final, beating Hibs in extra-time of the semi-final.

Tore Andre Flo gave Rangers the lead, captain Barry Ferguson scored from the penalty spot and Claudio Caniggia added two more to spoil the party for the underdogs.

The Cup gives Rangers boss Alex McLeish his first silverware as Ibrox boss.

Does the victory mark a return to winning ways for Rangers?
