The issue of lie detector tests in cricket has been raised again after an anonymous international captain called for their introduction. The idea was first raised last year at the height of cricket's match-fixing scandal. The King commission, set up to investigate match-fixing in South Africa, suggested they be introduced as part of a radical set of proposals which also included phone tapping. The lie detector proposal received a mixed reaction at the time, but will now be put to an ICC vote. Cricket is trying hard to restore its tarnished image, but will such techonology help to clean up the game? Or would it be one intrusion too far? Never mind lie detector tests - how about fixing it for England to win a few tests! | See also: Other top Sports Talk stories: Links to more Sports Talk stories are at the foot of the page. | ||
