Kaka and Robinho could be facing Scotland in March in London

The Scottish Football Association is in talks with a view to arranging a friendly against Brazil in March.

The proposed match would be held at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium in London.

Fifa has set aside 26-30 March for competitive fixtures, but as Scotland have no Euro 2012 qualifier they would be free schedule a friendly.

A spokesman for the SFA said: "We're considering a number of options but the manager Craig Levein wants a training camp for the players before any game."

Scotland have played Brazil on nine previous occasions, losing all apart from their first encounter in Glasgow in 1966, which finished 1-1.

The last time the teams met was in the opening match of the 1998 World Cup in Paris, when defender Tom Boyd's own-goal helped the defending champions to a 2-1 win.

On Wednesday, manager Craig Levein takes charge of his Scotland side in Dublin, when they play their first match of the Carling Nations Cup against Northern Ireland.

Scotland's next Euro 2012 qualifier is on 3 September in Glasgow against Czech Republic.
