Fort William retained the Camanachd Cup they won last year |
Fort William retained the Camanachd Cup with a narrow victory over Kingussie at An Aird Park. Kingussie's Ronald Ross opened the scoring in the third minute when he fired in a back-handed shot that left goalkeeper Scott McNeill stranded. Five minutes after the break, James Clark fired in a shot the edge of the penalty to equalise. Clark sealed the winner for Fort William in the 68th minute with a powerful shot from 20 yards out.
Fort William's Gary Innes: "We're totally delighted to win the cup again and hopefully we'll retain it again next year.
"We just didn't start in the first half, which was disappointing. "We re-grouped and John Macdonald came back out to the wing and we dominated the second 45 minutes."
