Six Nations: Wales' Jonathan Davies escapes sanction
Jonathan Davies made his Six Nations debut against England on Friday
Wales centre Jonathan Davies will not be punished for tripping England's two-try hero Chris Ashton in their opening Six Nations defeat in Cardiff.
Former England hooker Brian Moore felt Scarlets star Davies should have been red-carded on his Six Nations debut for the second-half trip on Ashton.
French citing commissioner Jean-Etienne Bernard had until 2130 GMT on Sunday to take retrospective punishment.
"There was no bad intentions, I am not a dirty player," pleaded Davies.
Davies was not sent off or even sin-binned on Friday and he stayed on to set up Morgan Stoddart for Wales' only try on the hour in their 26-19 defeat to England at the Millennium Stadium.
The 22-year-old was one of the few impressive Wales backs in their disappointing defeat in Cardiff.
Commissioner Bernard had until Sunday to confirm if Davies, winning his eighth Wales cap on Friday, should face a disciplinary hearing ahead of Wales' trip to Scotland on Saturday.

James Hook could have returned to partner Jamie Roberts in the Wales midfield - with Lee Byrne reinstated at full-back - if Davies was cited and subsequently suspended for the challenge on Ashton.
The Welsh Rugby Union, however, have confirmed they have had no instruction from the Six Nations disciplinary panel to suggest that Davies would face sanctions.
"I would never go out to trip anyone," Davies said afterwards.
"All I remember is putting the ball through on the floor, going to kick it on again and unfortunately I got his leg.
"There were no bad intentions at all. Hopefully nothing more will come of it."
