Shane Williams injured his shoulder playing for Wales against South Africa

Shane Williams says he is fit and raring to go for the Six Nations after recovering from a dislocated shoulder.

The Ospreys winger will win his 76th cap for Wales if he faces England in Cardiff on Friday, 4 February.

Wales' record try-scorer confirmed his fitness in an excellent 20-minute cameo appearance for the Ospreys in Sunday's 29-17 Heineken Cup win over Toulon.

"I feel just as sharp as I was before the injury - I have no issues," said 33-year-old Williams.

"I am very happy with where I am, and very confident in my ability. I just want to play, and I am glad I had the 20 minutes against Toulon.

"As far as I am concerned, it probably is my last year of international rugby, so I need to make sure I can be as quick as I possibly can be and keep up with these young guys coming through.

"I want to make sure I am doing things right, which means I have got to work harder to ensure I maintain those high standards for myself, and hopefully I can go out on a high.

"I am just concentrating on getting fit, which has meant more speed work, more weights. I wanted to get fit and be in the Six Nations squad.

"I could have been missing the first two games of this Six Nations, or I could have been missing it all, so I have worked hard to get where I am now.

"I am determined to be involved in these Six Nations games and have a good tournament, both personally and as a team."

Williams is deemed so important to Wales' cause that coach Warren Gatland has no plans to release him for LV= Cup duty with the Ospreys this weekend which would give him the chance of gaining further match sharpness.

That means he could go into the England clash with just 20 minutes under his belt in 10 weeks.

"England are one of the sides we have got to fear most in this Six Nations Championship," added Williams.

"The Six Nations, to me, is the best tournament you can play in.

"It's a massive game for us [against England]. We all know the tradition and the love-hate relationship between the nations as far as rugby is concerned.

"We are determined to go out and give everything to England."
