Jean de Villiers will start for Munster at Thomond Park |
The Ospreys and defending champions Munster hope to cement their end-of-season play-off place when third host second at Thomond Park on Saturday. Munster include Ireland stars Ronan O'Gara, Tomas O'Leary, Jerry Flannery, John Hayes, Donncha O'Callaghan and David Wallace. South Africa centre Jean de Villiers is also in Munster's starting line-up. The Ospreys have selected virtually the same XV that lost by a point to Biarritz in the Heineken Cup. The Welsh region have made six changes to the team that lost at Leinster last Friday, with captain Ryan Jones, scrum half Mike Phillips and Tommy Bowe among those returning to the starting line-up. Ian Gough replaces Alun Wyn Jones at lock in the only change to the team that went out in the quarter final of the European competition two weeks ago. The Ospreys, who have won two of their last three league games, return to play their third successive match in Ireland but the Welsh region have not won in Munster since the first Celtic League season in 2004. And no Welsh team has won at Thomond Park since Dragons did so in March 2004. Scott Johnson's men have only won once away from home in 2010 while two-time Heineken Cup champions Munster have won four of their last five games in all competitions.
