Dafydd Jones, 30, replaced Andy Powell against New Zealand |
Wales flanker Dafydd Jones is out of the rest of the November Tests and could be sidelined for three months after damaging a shoulder. The Scarlets star will undergo surgery on Monday having suffered the injury after coming on as a replacement in Saturday's 19-12 defeat by New Zealand. Jones, 30, will miss the Tests against Samoa, Argentina and Australia. Jones, who will not be replaced in the squad, has returned to form and favour for region and country this season. Wales physiotherapist Mark Davies said: "Dafydd sprung his A/C joint on Saturday and the severity of the injury has lead to him undergoing a repair this afternoon [Monday]. | 606: DEBATE |
"The prospects for recovery are good and we would anticipate him returning to play early in the New Year." Jones follows club-mate Mark Jones onto the injured list. The Scarlets skipper and wing is also out until the New Year after suffering a knee injury in training ahead of the clash with New Zealand.
