Scrum V Adopt a Club Rules and Regulations 1. The competition will now consist of the three shortlisted clubs presenting and pitching to the judging panel as to why they would be a deserving winner. The judging panel will choose an overall winner from the three shortlisted clubs and the winner will be announced on the Scrum V program on Sunday 13th September 2009. 2. The criteria used to judge the shortlisted clubs is on editorial merit, issues and challenges surrounding the day-to-day running of the club and the reach and scope that the club represent. 3. In the event of the judging panel being tied the programme producer Dafydd Thomas will adjudicate the winner. 4. The BBC's decision as to the winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 5. The prize received by the winning club will consist of regular visits over the course of the rugby season by the Scrum V team and Rick O'Shea and the offer of occasional top class guidance, coaching and nutritional advice from experts. There is no cash alternative and the prize cannot be sold or transferred in any circumstances. 6. The three shortlisted clubs will be filmed and/or interviewed and will be required to assign to the BBC the copyright and other rights for all purposes (including use in all media now known or which may hereafter become known) in their contribution for broadcast for the full period of copyright and any extensions, revivals or renewals thereof. 7. The three shortlisted clubs will grant the BBC the unlimited right to edit, copy, add to, take from, adapt or translate their contributions for broadcast. 8. Contributions cover all contributions made by the contestant in connection with the production of the Scrum V highlights program including but not limited to the contestant's performance (including rehearsals) and spoken, written and artistic materials (including audio and video recordings thereof) provided by the shortlisted entrants. 9. The shortlisted entrants must agree to take part in any post-competition publicity if required. 10. The BBC reserves the right to: (i) vary the opening/closing times of the competition; (ii) disqualify any entrant who breaches the rules or has acted fraudulently in any way; (iii) cancel the competition, at any stage, if in its opinion it is deemed necessary or if circumstances arise outside its control, and (iv) vary, change and/or substitute the prize at any time and for whatsoever reason. 11. The competition accords with the BBC's Editorial Guidelines on Awards and the Code of Conduct for Competitions and Voting, details of which can be found on the BBC'S Standards and Guidelines website and here 12. The BBC will only use personal data for the purposes of this event, and will not publish or provide them to anyone without permission. The promoter of this competition is the British Broadcasting Corporation and the applicable law is the laws of England and Wales. 14. All shortlisted clubs will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them when entering the competition.
