Five-cap Williams was selected for Wales' 2008 tour of South Africa |
Wales scrum-half Andy Williams has signed up with Moseley RFC while continuing to seek a top-flight club. The 28-year-old, who has five caps, parted acrimoniously with the Dragons in January before finishing the season with Cardiff RFC in the Welsh Premier. Swansea-born Williams has agreed a deal whereby he can leave Moseley if he gains a Magners League, Guinness Premiership or French Top 14 contract. "I would like to thank Moseley for giving me the chance," said Williams. "[The opportunity] to play in the Championship and for affording me the flexibility to move on should an opportunity arise at a higher level. | 606: DEBATE |
"[Moseley coaches] Don Caskie and Ian Smith have been excellent, and thoroughly professional in the way they have handled my arrival." Williams played in Moseley's 45-43 pre-season win over London Scottish last week and is available for Saturday's Championship opener against Exeter. Williams began his career at Bath, joined the Ospreys in 2003, returned to the west Country club the following year, then moved to the Dragons in 2007.
