Will Thomas has been appointed as head coach at Welsh Premiership side Ebbw Vale in succession to Patrick Horgan.

Thomas was formerly assistant with Alex Codling at the Steelmen under head coach Horgan, who left the club last week to take a job at Neath RFC.

Ebbw Vale say they are searching for a new backs coach to work with Thomas.

"I'm certain Ebbw Vale will continue to be the great club that I've worked for, I give special thanks to Will for his support," said Horgan.
