It was nice to have put 30 points on Scotland but we didn't really play that well if we're honest.

It was a bit of a strange game, I thought we defended brilliantly but we were a bit sloppy in attack and we gave away quite a few penalties.

Wales wing Shane Williams squeezes in at the corner flag for a try
When Shane scored his second try in the corner me and Martyn Williams just looked at each other

I dropped the ball a few times and we threw ball away sometimes but there's a lot more to come, we're heading in the right direction.

We're obviously happy with the win but a bit disappointed with some of our attack.

There were quite a few replacements and the people who came on, just like last week, did a great job.

There's massive competition now for spots in the team, you're talking about world-class players fighting for position.

It's great, it creates a good buzz around training and when you get on the pitch you really want to make an impression.

That's the way it should be and it's really driving us on - you need to play really well to keep your place and if you don't there's someone breathing down your neck.

I thought Shane Williams was outstanding on Saturday.

When he scored his second try in the corner me and Martyn Williams just looked at each other and went: "Phew, wow, how did he do that?"

He's electric and he's done that so many times for Wales, and he did it at a time that we really needed a try to put Scotland two scores away from us.

On the other wing Jamie Roberts had a brilliant debut.

606: DEBATE

I know what a good player he is from his games at the Blues and he proved that.

The first pass he was given he stepped inside Chris Paterson like he wasn't there and trundled up the pitch for another 20 metres.

It was his first cap and he was up against someone who is now the record back cap holder for Scotland, but I thought Jamie did a great job.

The Millennium Stadium had a great atmosphere and I'm looking forward to getting back out there in two weeks against Italy.

It's tough playing this level of rugby match every week, so it's probably good to have that fortnight gap.

You do need time off so you've got two weeks to recover, although there's still stuff to work on.

It's also a chance for some of the players who haven't played much to grab a game back at their clubs.

We've just got to make sure we keep that momentum, keep the training intense and bring it forward to Italy.
