Roger Lewis has revealed there is a three-man shortlist |
Welsh Rugby Union group chief executive Roger Lewis has revealed there is now a three-man shortlist for the Elite Performance Director job. It was thought that former Wales fitness coach Andrew Hore had been offered the role.
But it appears that the WRU are also considering other options.
"We are talking to three people at the moment and they are all still in the frame, it's about making sure we get the right person," said Lewis.
Last week, the WRU unveiled New Zealander Warren Gatland as their new national coach and it is thought that he may want to bring in his own team.

"There is one person who has come into the frame in the last month, which is very interesting and gives us a different option," added Lewis.
The WRU announced a global search for the EPD in March, the position mirroring that of Rob Andrew at the Rugby Football Union.
The brief for the new man is to ensure the maximum number of top players achieve potential and build competition for Wales places.
He would be given a place on the executive board of the WRU to ensure the Union's strategy focuses on delivering the resources and facilities to achieve success.
