Horsman could be out for six months |
Wales tight-head prop Chris Horsman is set to miss Wales' Six Nations campaign after tearing a upper arm muscle. The injury picked up during Worcester Warriors' defeat to Leeds last Friday will keep him out for four months.
Horsman, 30, had surgery on Wednesday to repair a ruptured bicep and snapped a tendon.
Director of rugby Mike Ruddock said: "Knowing Chris, he will try his hardest to get back on the field before the projected timescale."
The injury to Horsman is likely to leave Osprey Adam Jones battling with Newport-Gwent Dragon Rhys Thomas for the number three shirt against the Springboks,
