The Ospreys claimed their first Magners League win of the season in Gavin Henson's first start for eight months.
Two Lee Byrne tries in between Sam Pinder's score for Glasgow helped the home side build a 21-13 half-time lead.
Glasgow fought back to lead by two points at the hour mark after a Colin Shaw try and Colin Gregor penalty.
But the Ospreys wrestled back control and three Shaun Connor penalties, who kicked 22 points in all, and a late Ben Lewis try ensured a much-needed win.

Fly-half Connor opened the scoring with a drop-goal before Glasgow had full-back Bernardo Stortoni sin-binned for deliberately knocking-on as the Ospreys mounted a quick attack.
The first try soon followed as Byrne finished off a superb move across the back division, that included contributions from Connor and Henson.
But Glasgow, who lost their first game of the season last week to Cardiff Blues, soon replied with a Gregor penalty and then Pinder raced away from 40 metres to score a superb try.
That put Glasgow ahead for the first time, but the Ospreys got their act back together and Byrne grabbed his second touchdown of the match after he was put in from two metres by scrum-half Justin Marshall.
Connor converted and also added another drop-goal, this time from 30 metres, to give his team an eight-point lead at half-time.
Gregor added another penalty within three minutes of the restart and then wing Shaw rounded the home defence from 20 metres to go in at the right-hand corner to put Glasgow 23-21 up.
But the home side rallied, and Connor's accurate kicking set up the victory before Lewis' try made the game safe, giving Barry Williams reason to celebrate his 100th appearance for the region.
Ospreys coach Lyn Jones:
"This was our fourth game of the season, we came close in the first three but lost by a score so we are very pleased to win. "It's very important to win so we can build our confidence. We've made big improvements to our game but this will give us confidence to understand what we are doing is correct.
"We just need to be a bit more accurate and keep working. I was pleased to see Lyndon Bateman, Steve Tandy and Gavin Henson coming back and getting 80 minutes of rugby."
