James Hook is relishing his battle with Felipe Contepomi on Saturday |
Argentina deserve their pre-World Cup ranking of fifth says Wales fly-half James Hook, singling out rival Felipe Contepomi as the man Wales must stop. Speaking ahead of Saturday's warm-up game at the Millennium Stadium, Hook highlighted the threat of experienced Contepomi.
"He's a great player and if we can keep him under wraps a bit, we'll be all right," said Hook.
But he warned Wales' forwards needed to match the Pumas' renowned muscle.

"If things are going well for them up front, they won't need to use the good players they have behind the scrum," 22-year-old Hook added.
Wales, eighth place in the International Rugby Board rankings, are licking their wounds after a record 62-5 defeat against England on 4 August.
Meanwhile Argentina are being touted as dark horses in next month's World Cup in France, and Hook said their recently-gained fifth-place world ranking was deserved.
"They have a great pack and some great individuals in their back line.

"They deserve to be where they are and it's going to be a tough game on Saturday."
Hook said he had good memories of playing against Argentina, having scored a try on his debut on tour there last summer.
Contepomi meanwhile is full of praise for the Welsh claiming that people shouldn't judge Gareth Jenkins' men on their record 62-5 defeat to England.
