Swansea unveil Webster as coach
Richard Webster
Webster was a star flanker at St Helen's in the '80s and '90s
Richard Webster has left his role as Cardiff Blues forwards coach to take the head coach position at Swansea RFC.

The dual-code Wales international takes the place of Tony Clement, who stepped down at the end of the season.

Former open-side flanker Webster played for the All Whites 1985-94, toured with the Lions in 1993, and won the Heineken Cup with Bath after a spell in league.

Keith Colclough will remain as forwards coach, with ex-Llanelli full-back Ian Jones in as the new backs coach.

Team manager Ian Hopkins will keep his position at St Helen's.

Swansea have recruited Wales Under-18 outside-half Daniel Biggar for the new season.

He will be joined at half-back by scrum-half Rhodri Wells, who returns to the club after a season with Cornish Pirates.

The All Whites have released two other scrum-halves, Iwan Mainwaring and Jonathan Hooper, while flanker Rory Gallagher is returning to Dunvant RFC where he will take the captaincy.
